Newforge Budweiser Tag Rugby week 5 report: Another wet night did little to dampen the spirits of most of the teams.
The men's league is heating up with many of the teams taking warm-up and stretches very seriously and segments of orange have been passed around at half time!
Lisburn Lions recorded another victory now making it 3 from 5.
Hinch remain top of the league wining their 5th game on the trot.
The
Tag-A-Roos are still top of the B1 league however were held to a 10-10 draw by the
Beechill Bulls. The Bulls are more than holding their own in their first season on Tag Rugby. The
Hillsborough Hornets suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of
The Tropics. Tropic is definitely how you could describe the weather on Wednesday night. Despite loosing their captain to injury,
Energia got back to winning ways. We wish Ciara a speedy recovery.
Hands Like Feet have now notched up over 100 points for and only 49 against. This try difference could prove crucial at the end of the season. The top of the B2 league table is heating up with only a point between the top two and
Deep Heat are lying in third place with a game in hand.
Social C is tight at the top with the
Tigers winning again to remain top of the league and
Osborne King are only two points behind. At the bottom of the league
Smooth Movers recorded their first points drawing against the experienced
Carnavors.
The Piste Takers have to be the most injury prone team in the league with four games left we are hoping they have enough players to fulfil all their games. Despite losing numerous players they pulled off a shock win against
BTW Shiells.
Next week ther is a
table quiz following the games. This is the prime opportunity to seek revenge on those that have beaten you on the pitch. Platters of food will be available to order until 21:30 and there will be bar facilities until 11:00.
