The Ireland Women wrapped up the two-legged European Sevens Grand Prix Series with a fifth place finish overall, following their Plate success in Brive and their qualification for the Cup competition in Marbella. Check out some photos from both events.

Four Ireland players - Brian O'Driscoll, Jonathan Sexton, Paul O'Connell and Jamie Heaslip - have been included in the British & Irish Lions team for Saturday's first Test against Australia in Brisbane.

The Ireland Under-20s were runners-up in a tough pool and despite losing to hosts France last night, Mike Ruddock's charges could still finish the IRB Junior World Championship on a high by beating Australia in Sunday's 7th-8th place play-off.

Two of the biggest matches in the AIB League season take place on Saturday with table toppers Cork Constitution entertaining Leinster's top club Clontarf (Temple Hill, kick-off 2.30pm), while Coonagh is sure to be thronged as great Limerick rivals Shannon and Garryowen go head-to-head in the other semi-final (kick-off 3pm).
