The Ireland Under-19 team to face Australia Schools at Ravenhill this Saturday afternoon (kick-off 2.30pm) has been announced.
Course attendees were provided with the latest information on the areas of basic life support, defibrillator use, concussion, and orthopedic/spinal injuries, as well as matchday preparation.
Last weekend twenty medical practitioners from the Leinster area undertook the SAFE Rugby Level 2 Course, also in the Aviva Stadium, as they prepare for the start of the new season.
Level 1 courses are for non-medical personnel involved in clubs and schools.
If your club or school is interested in hosting a course, please contact the IRFU First Aid and Injury Prevention Officer Shane Mooney (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Level 2 courses are for medical professionals involved in clubs and schools, and the next course will take place on Sunday, September 29 at the home of Connacht Rugby - the Sportsground in Galway.
