Covering every stage of rugby development from mini rugby right through to elite players, the IRFU Technical Conference is a chance for staff to pool their knowledge, improve their skills and bring new ways of thinking to their schools, clubs and provinces.
The two day conference included presentations and practical pitch work as well as opportunities for attendees to share their own experiences and pool their knowledge.
The conference was opened by IRFU President John Hussey and day one included a presentation on 'Principles of Play' from IRFU Technical Director Steve Aboud, as well as 'Skills Sessions' facilitated by Colin McEntee, Peter Malone, John Fogarty, Jimmy Duffy and Gary Longwell.
There were also contributions from Niall Malone, Keith Murphy, Greig Oliver and former Ireland international Girvan Dempsey.
There was also a keynote address from the IRB General Manager for Development, Morgan Buckley.
Day two featured workshops on 'Coach Development' and 'Elite Player Development' and also a stimulating and challenging workshop on 'Personality Profiling' and 'Personal Development' by Jonathan Miller of Insights to round off the conference.
Speaking at the conference, IRFU Technical Director Steve Aboud said: "This conference offers the opportunity for our development, coaching and technical staff involved in the game at every level to come together, share their experience and challenge themselves in learning new skills.
"It is also a chance to build relationships and to have people from all four provinces, involved in the elite and domestic areas of the game, work together to a common technical direction."
