Speaking about the award, Connacht team manager Tim Allnutt said: "George (Naoupu) is a natural leader on the pitch, he's a phenomenal ball carrier and provides a great platform for the rest of the team to work off.
"His offloading skills are exceptional and his raw strength and power mean he makes it over the gain-line time and time again."
He added: "During February we were narrowly beaten in Cardiff before drawing with Glasgow and then beating Edinburgh and in all three matches George's work-rate and performance were exemplary, so he is a very deserving recipient of this award."
Connacht's next home game is a mouth-watering interprovincial clash with reigning league champions Munster this Saturday. Kick-off at the Sportsground is at 7.45pm and tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.ie.
