Colm Tucker 1952-2012

The Committee and staff of the Irish Rugby Football Union wish to express their sincere condolonces to the family and friends of Colm Tucker who passed away last night.
He made his Ireland international debut against France in January 1979 and won two further caps against Wales and France again in 1980.
He represented the British & Irish Lions on the tour to South Africa and played a pivotal role in the 17-13 win in the final Test to give the Lions a 3-1 Series win. He was the first Lion from Shannon RFC.
Tucker is survived by his wife Geraldine, sons Colm Jnr and Richard and daughter Rachel and we offer them our condolences at this time.
May He Rest In Peace.
