There are six uncapped players in the Ireland squad for the summer tour to North America that was named this morning. An Emerging Ireland squad has also been selected for the Tblisi Cup in Georgia.
He was replaced seven minutes into the second half by Felix Jones, in what was just his second appearance for Ireland since sustaining a serious knee injury last November.
Commenting on Kearney's groin strain, Ireland team manager Paul McNaughton said: "Rob had a scan to examine the extent of the injury today and will be reviewed again on Monday.
"At the outset, the injury does not seem too serious, but we will wait to see the results of the scan and also how the injury settles before we review it tomorrow.
"Outside of the normal bumps and minor knocks from a Test match, there are no other major injuries to report."
Ireland face into two matches over the next six days, with an Irish selection playing Connacht at Donnybrook on Thursday evening (kick-off 6.30pm).
Then on Saturday there is the rematch between Ireland and France at the Aviva Stadium (kick-off 5pm), and McNaughton expects more frontline players to be available for that game.
"Brian O'Driscoll, Stephen Ferris and Gordon D'Arcy are all continuing to progress well and it is expected that they will be upping their involvement in training this week and will be in contention for selection," he added.
"Tommy Bowe is also making progress and it is hoped that he will be in line for selection the week after."
