Leinster kicked their season off with a win over Worcester, while Ulster went down to NEC Harlequins and Connacht to London Irish.
In three close friendly matches this evening, Leinster came out on top against Worcester by 16-13; London Irish completed two wins from two matches on their pre-season Irish tour with a 24-16 win over Connacht; and NEC Harlequins downed Ulster at Ravenhill by 26 points to 19.
Looking forward to locking horns with France, Conor Murray said: "I know with the type of players and type of game Guy Noves likes to play, they can throw up anything. We've got to be ready for any style of game, an offloading game, a free-flowing game."
