Shane Moore opened the scoring for the Students at a blustery Wicklow venue and a second try from Simon Keogh left the home the Irish 12-7 up at the break having played into the wind.
Keogh was on hand with his second try 12 minutes into the second half and althoough the Welsh mounted something of a revival with a try from Paul bamsey, the Students ended with tries from Graham Quinn and Trevor Hogan for a well deserved victory.

In Thomond, the 19s also ran in two tries with two coming from wing Richard Lane. Lane's first try came on the quarter-hour mark and his second followed a try from prop Stephen Bennett, to leave the Irish in an unassailable 21-0 interval lead.
Daragh Geraghty, who had converted the three first half tries, aded an early second half penalties and the other tries came from Andy Lowe and Stephen Bradshaw.
In the Womens international, three Rachel Reid penalties were not enough to give Ireland their first victory over Wales, the visitors winning 13-9 in the end.
