Their most recent clash in June, as part of Ireland's 2010 summer tour, saw the Irish fall to a 66-28 defeat to the All Blacks in New Plymouth.
The loss of Jamie Heaslip to a first half red card hampered Ireland's chances, but they still managed to score four tries through Dan Tuohy, Brian O'Driscoll, Tommy Bowe and Gordon D'Arcy.
Today's Test is the 24th clash between Ireland and New Zealand. The old Lansdowne Road witnessed Ireland's best result against the All Blacks to date - a 10-10 draw back in January 1973.
We will have live text commentary direct from the Aviva Stadium as Ireland look to make it two wins on the trot in this year's GUINNESS Series.
So plug in the laptop or turn on the PC and enjoy a flavour of the game live on IrishRugby.ie with thanks to O2, sponsors of MatchDay Live.
There will be full live text and score updates throughout the coverage as Declan Kidney's charges take on a New Zealand side led by flanker Richie McCaw, who made his Test debut at the old Lansdowne Road nine years ago.
Starting at 5pm with our pre-match build-up (the game kicks off at 5.30pm), you can feel part of the action with MatchDay Live on IrishRugby.ie.
The match is being broadcast live on RTÉ Two and BBC Two, as well as RTÉ Radio 1 and BBC Radio Ulster MW. We will have multimedia links to the TV and radio coverage.
