It was a must-win game for the Dublin 15 side, with second-placed Newbridge hot on their heels just a point behind them in the Division 1B table.
Twelve months ago Coolmine finished top of the pile in Division 2 and gained promotion, with Leinster and Ireland hooker Bernard Jackman the man in charge.
In front of a large crowd, IRFU President John Callaghan was on hand to present the Leinster Division 1B trophy to victorious Coolmine captain Ollie Prunty.
Just the previous week, the Coolmine seconds followed in the footsteps of the firsts when they retained the Byrne Cup, with a 30-10 win over first division outfit Seapoint. Congratulations to all involved in the club's successful run.
