The Connacht management, in consultation with Munster officials and tournament organisers Celtic Rugby, reached the decision this afternoon following a pitch inspection at the Galway venue.
The straw that was laid on the pitch helped minimise the impact of the wintry conditions during the week but was unable to prevent the playing surface from freezing during last night's -13C weather.
As of this morning there were less than 200 tickets left. The remainder can be bought online via Ticketmaster over the Christmas period and the office at the Sportsground will reopen at 10am on the day of the game.
In addition, the car park in Moneenagisha Community College will be open for fans travelling to the match on Monday.
