Since then the trophies have been visiting clubs, schools and points in between the length and breadth of Ireland.
The Connacht Branch leg of the Grand Slam Trophy tour took in some great days including a wonderful reception in Carrick-on-Shannon via a round trip to Cork!
Then it was the turn of the Munster Branch who added the Magners League trophy to the tour to give clubs and schools a wonderful opportunity to see all three pieces of silverware that their players had helped to land for Munster and Ireland this season.
Every stop is special for those who get to hold the trophies but there were some great visits along the way including to St. Munchin's, home of Grand Slam winners Marcus Horan, Jerry Flannery and Keith Earls.
The Ulster Branch leg of the tour will take place in late August, while the Leinster Branch are planning their tour, which will also include the Heineken Cup, for September.
The Grand Slam Trophy Tour continues throughout the summer, however, with visits planned to numerous Bud Light Tag clubs and events and also to Summer Camps in the four provinces.
There will also be a number of one-off apearences at various club functions throughout July and August.
