See below for quotes from Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll in the aftermath of his side's two-try triumph over Australia.
- ON NEIL BEST'S DISPLAY -
"Today's conditions really suited Besty's style. He's a seriously tough customer. When you see a guy like Lote Tuqiri struggling to get off the ground after he's been hit by him, you know that Besty's capable of making a serious impact in the tackle.
"He gies us great go-forward ball too. He's an incredibly fit guy and we could see that in pre-season. He always tries to push himself to finish first in everything.
"He's a massively improved player, and it was a big, big performance from him today. I think we're very fortunate that we have himself and Simon (Easterby) competing for that number six slot at the minute. As long as the two of them keep pushing each other, we're going to continue to get the best out of them."
- ON WINNING IN THE CONDITIONS -
"You have to play what's in front of you. When the conditions were more reasonable in the first half, I felt that we were the ones who played the rugby. There was still a strong wind, and we still managed to play all the rugby.
"We were the ones who showed good skill levels and took the ball through phases. But I felt we didn't just edge it in the first half. I think we were comfortable victors and we'll take a huge amount from that first half, because Australia are a smart side and anytime you outplay and out-think them you've done a good job.
"We were brimming with confidence. At half-time we were the ones with the chests puffed out. The second half was a bit of a lottery and sometimes your tactical kicking game comes into effect - that's a strong part of our game, there's no denying that."
- ON HIS CENTRE PARTNER GORDON D'ARCY -
"I think 'Darce' played extremely well. People do not realise how strong and how powerful he is. The number of metres he makes after he has first been hit is incredible and sets up so much good ball for us."
