The Ireland Women's side, coached by Stephen McIvor, have reached the European Sevens championship quarter-finals in Limoges, France.
Ireland's first expedition into women's Sevens rugby has proved very successful so far. Friday, the opening day of the tournament, saw the Irish remain undefeated throughout their pool matches.
Managed by former international Rachel Reid, Ireland beat Russia 17-0 in their opening game with Tania Rosser (2 tries), Irish captain Sarah Jane Belton (try) and Joy Neville (conversion) all scoring.
Then Sweden fell to a 5-0 defeat. Orla Brennan scored Ireland's try.
Ireland's final pool game saw Norway defeated 29-0 - Louise Beamish, Belton, Rachel Boyd, Lynne Cantwell and Grace Davitt shared out the tries. Davitt and Neville added a conversion each.
McIvor's charges face hosts France in the last-eight on Saturday.
