The other talking point is the omission of Mick Galwey entirely from the Munster squad for the first time since Munster played their first game in the competition in 1995. Father time - and the emergence of young guns Paul O'Connell, Donncha O'Callaghan and Mick O'Driscoll - has caught up with a man who has been an inspiration to the side but Galwey intends keeping those ahead of him 'honest'. "I knew this day would come and was lucky really to get those two early games in because Paul was injured. Not wishing the boys any bad luck or anything but if the need comes, I'll be ready to step back in."
Alan Gaffney has yet to finalise his bench with James Blaney (bronchial) and Denis Leamy (thigh) both needing to be pased fit before finalising his replacements.
