At the beginning of November, Bective Rangers FC held an Anniversary Ball to celebrate 125 years of rugby and friendship.

The venue was Jury's Hotel, Ballsbridge and a most enjoyable night was had by all.

The attendance was all encompassing - past and current members and players with their families, friends and guests.

The President of the IRFU, Peter Boyle was in attendance together with Bective members, Michael Cuddy, one of his predecessors, and John Lyons, Junior Vice President of the IRFU.

A warm message of congratulations from the wonderful Wales and Bective out-half of the 1950s, Cliff Morgan, was read to the gathering. Unfortunately Cliff has not been well and was unable to travel.

The reminiscing and music went on until the early hours of the next day and there were many promises of more reunions and of keeping in touch between Rangers.
