After two Test outings at inside centre, Brumbies stalwart Stephen Larkham will be back in his regular role at number 10 for Australia's visit to Lansdowne Road on Sunday.
The 32-year-old Larkham had filled the number 12 jersey against Wales and Italy, over the past two weekends, but Wallabies coach John Connolly has opted to slot him back into the half-backs, where he will partner his former Brumbies team-mate Matt Giteau, with Mat Rogers, who was generally ineffective against the Italians, dropping to the bench.
Giteau, who has joined Western Force for the 2007 season, will be lining out at scrum half for the third consecutive game. There is a new centre combination in tour captain Stirling Mortlock and Lote Tuqiri.
In all, Connolly has made two changes in personnel and three positonal switches from last weekend's lacklustre 25-18 defeat of the Azzurri in Rome.
Rogers is indirectly replaced by Mark Gerrard, who takes Tuqiri's spot on the left wing, while in the back row, Phil Waugh returns to take the openside spot from George Smith.
The positional switches will see Mortlock move from outside to inside centre, noted winger Tuqiri will fill the number 13 jersey, with Larkham's reverting to out-half completing the back line reshuffle.
There are five new faces on the replacements bench from last week - Josh Valentine and Al Campbell, who captained Australia 'A' to victory in Limerick on Wednesday, are joined by Rogers, Smith, Tai McIsaac, Benn Robinson and Scott Staniforth.
However, Western Force hooker Brendan Cannon is a doubtful starter for Sunday due to a neck injury he sustained this week. If he has not fully recovered, McIsaac will start with Stephen Moore, who boasts Irish parents, coming onto the bench.
