Greystones RFC Chairman Sonny Kenny informed the players that the Springbok great had received the William Webb Ellis Cup from Nelson Mandela at the Rugby World Cup in 1995.
He said that it was a great honour to have Pienaar at the club. Pienaar was in Ireland to give his support to the 'Lust for Life' campaign, which is aimed at helping men understand Testosterone Deficiency.
The campaign is aiming to encourage men over 40 to contact their GPs for a clinical assessment if they suspect they have low levels of testosterone.
"I'm told that this isn't any different here in Ireland and it really is a shame, as men are exposing themselves to unnecessary risk by not getting appropriate medical advice at the earliest possible opportunity."
Testosterone Deficiency can cause tiredness, weight gain, loss of libido and feeling down. For more information, please visit www.lustforlife.ie.
