Connacht Rugby have launched an exciting new website which will cater for the game at all levels in the province.

The new website rolls out in October and over the coming weeks and months, the various sections will be increased.

It is envisaged that a multi-media section will be included which, among other things, will allow for video footage of games.

A direct link with each of the clubs will allow clubs post notices and allow for great inter-activity.

The strength of the website will be greatly enhanced by a strong input from all the various sectors which comprise Connacht Rugby.

The new website is developed by the Galway-based WalshWorks (Web Design & Marketing), along with journalist John Fallon of Media West (Ireland), and in conjunction with the Connacht Rugby Media Officer Fergus Lynch.

Connacht Rugby CEO, Gerry Kelly, said the new website represented a new and exciting departure for the sport in the province.

"Methods of communications are moving on all the time and this is an important step for Connacht Rugby, ensuring we keep apace of developments.

"We need every sector of Connacht Rugby - the professional game, referees, schools, coaching, clubs, mini-rugby, administrators, representative sides and so on - to become worthwhile contributors to the website. Then, in turn, each of these sectors will become worthwhile recipients of a very good service," he said.
