    Ashleigh began her rugby on the Tag pitch, before joining Belfast Harlequins aged 18. She impressed in her first season with Ulster and Ireland in 2012 and featured on the right wing during the 2013 Grand Slam run, as well as playing in the Women’s Rugby World Cup Sevens in the same year.

    She was also the youngest member of the Ireland squad that took part in the 2014 Women’s Rugby World Cup. Ashleigh plays her club rugby for Cooke RFC.

    Caughey has been involved with the Irish national side since 2012. She is a member of the Irish Sevens programme as well as playing club rugby with Railway Union, having previously played with her local club Belfast Harlequins.

    Nikki is comfortable at both out-half and centre and is also known for her physicality in defence.

    Aoife been capped by Munster at U18, U19 and Senior levels. She has represented Ireland at U18 and Senior Sevens and was also capped as part of the winning Women's 6 Nations squad in 2015.

    Dubliner Stacey began her sporting career playing Gaelic Football with Dublin side Clanna Gael and she also represented her county up to Minor level.

    Stacey plays rugby with Railway Union RFC and represented Ireland Sevens at underage level before moving into the senior squad.

    Her sister Kim is also a member of the Ireland Women's Sevens programme.

    Louise has excelled across a range of sports, having captained UL Huskies to multiple titles in basketball, she also captained Ireland at underage level.

    Louise has also played GAA football for her home county of Kerry, winning the Munster Championship and National League as well as representing Munster at interprovincial level. Louise is a qualified physiotherapist.

    Shannon collected an impressive 32 caps at XVs for Ireland, impressing as a strong running centre before she made the switch to the Sevens programme.

    Shannon was born and raised in Victoria, British Columbia and moved to Ireland to study and pursue a career in medicine.

    She plays her club rugby for Blackrock RFC.

    Claire is a former Cork GAA footballer and Camogie player and has represented her county at all levels. She has also won a Club Senior Ladies All-Ireland medal with her side Inch Rovers from Cork. Claire plays her rugby with UL Bohemians and progressed from the 15-a-side game into Sevens.

    A qualified physiotherapist, Claire is currently studying medicine in RCSI.

    Alison played for several seasons with the Ireland Women’s team before taking to the Sevens game. The winger from Laois holds a number of titles in athletics, as well as two Six Nations Championship medals.

    Alison is currently a Sky Sports Athlete Mentor.

    Lucy is the current captain of the Ireland Women’s Sevens squad and is also a talented Gaelic Footballer, having represented her native county of Wicklow where she won an All-Ireland Ladies Junior football title with them in 2011 and also plays with her university side, Trinity College, where she is a student of radiation therapy.

    In August 2015, Lucy successfully led Ireland to qualification for the World Rugby Sevens Series.

    Jenny is a prop at Sevens level and has captained Ireland at Sevens level previously.

    Amee-Leigh hails from Tipperary and has represented Munster at all levels in the 15-a-side game. She progressed into the Ireland Sevens side from the underage teams.

    Amee-Leigh plays her rugby with Railway Union RFC, having started her rugby with Clanwilliam RFC in Munster.

    A pacey winger, she has an eye for the try line and is currently one of the top scorers for the Women's Sevens team.

    Sene has been playing rugby since the age of 13, having played with North Otago and Hawkes Bay in her native New Zealand before continuing the game in Ireland.

    She is part of a strong sporting family, with her husband George playing for Connacht, having previously played Sevens for New Zealand and her sister playing with Otago back in New Zealand.  Sene has several caps for the Irish Women’s team and is a qualified health and fitness coach.

    Audrey hails from Cork and was a successful former Irish Hockey international, representing her country 120 times and scoring 30 goals before taking up the sport of Rugby Sevens.

    Audrey has come into the squad through the Talent Identification programme. Audrey splits her time between teaching and training with the Sevens side.

    She plays club rugby for Old Belvedere and is a student in UCD.
