Speaking about the event, Galwegians President Noel Leader commented on the huge contribution made by the club to Irish rugby.
"In our 90 years we have been proud to produce several top international players, from former greats like Tony O'Sullivan to Eric Elwood from the more recent generation," said Leader.
"But it's not just about internationals, we have given generations of Galwegians untold enjoyment through their involvement in rugby football, and made a hugely positive contribution to the local community in the process."
Leader also hailed the significant contribution which the club has made to the game off the field, adding: "We have provided six IRFU Presidents since Henry Anderson in 1945, more than any other senior club, and next year we will be proud when Billy Glynn becomes our seventh President of the Union."
The Galwegians President called on all players past and present, and friends of the club to attend the landmark event.
"Galwegians have much to celebrate, and this provides a unique opportunity for friends to re-unite and reminisce about some great times past in the history of our great club."
The Great Galwegians Gathering will commence at 7pm in the Galway Radisson Blu Hotel, and will include a full meal with live band and entertainment provided on the night.
Guest of honour will be John Killeen, CEO of COLD CHON and the chairman of Let's Do It Galway who brought the Volvo Ocean Race to Galway.
