It was renamed Crowley Park in the 1980s after club stalwart and ex-IRFU President CP Crowley, and despite several planned and failed attempts to relocate in recent years due to swelling player numbers, Glenina has remained as the heart and soul of the Galway club ever since.
To mark the special occasion, there will be a full list of itinerary of events culminating with two senior games under floodlights on Saturday evening.
The action starts at 1pm where there will be a cake-cutting ceremony, involving Galwegians President John Gaffney, club captain Brian McClearn and ex-President Michael Heaslip who was captain in 1963 when 'Wegians made the move to Glenina.
A lunch will be held at 3pm, where there will be several reminiscences and reminders of time past from the 1960s right through to the present day.
This will precede Wegians' Ulster Bank Division 2A game against Old Crescent, which kicks off at 5pm. This will be followed by a barbecue at 6.30pm, and then a Connacht Senior League J1B fixture against Creggs at 7.30pm.
