6 Nations Coach Development Conference

6 Nations Coaching Conference

The 6 Nations Elite Coaches Conference took place during the 2011 Junior Rugby World Cup in Treviso.

The six coaches who attended with Technical Development Manager Stephen Aboud were Anthony Foley, Brian Walsh, Jeremy Davidson, Terry McMaster, Nigel Carolan and Andy Wood.

The overall theme of the conference was Developing Effective Rugby and there was a significant presence of Irish and ex-Irish coaching staff with key-note presentations from National Coach Declan Kidney, U20 National Coach Mike Ruddock and ex-National team fitness trainer Paul Pook.

This project allows coaches to pursue further self-development following the IRFU Stage 5 Coaching Course, through sharing their experiences and knowledge with similar participants from the other 5 Unions.
