James Allen

Physiotherapist

James Allen is Physiotherapist to the Irish National Rugby Team. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy in 2000.

In 2001, he completed an MSc in Sports Medicine, under the tutelage of Professor Moira O'Brien. Over the past 12 years, he has worked in a variety of team sports as well as establishing his own private practice. James was the Senior Team Physiotherapist with Leinster Rugby from 2006 to 2012, during which time they won 3 European Cups and a Magner's League title.

In 2012, he was appointed to his current position with the Irish National Rugby Team. One of James' main clinical interests is the rehabilitation of chronic groin pain and he has lectured nationally and internationally on the topic.
