Ireland's John Lacey will referee his first ever RBS 6 Nations match in February, while Alain Rolland is also included in the Elite Panel in what is his last season.
Ulster Rugby Community Rugby Officer Darren McGuigan spoke to the audience about the structures of the domestic game for rugby in Ulster, particularly game development from grassroots to sub-Academy level and the health and social benefits rugby brings in general.
Darren also spoke about the IRFU's approach to the issue of education through sport and how alcohol can impact upon players' lifestyles and the need for local club coaches and officials to empower young people to make healthier choices.
The other speakers at the event were Dr. Lynette Hughes from the Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health and Colin Regan, national co-ordinator for the GAA Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) Programme.
Lynette and Colin talked about the science of how alcohol affects sporting performance negatively and the role that clubs can take in promoting responsible approaches to alcohol respectively.
