The Irish Rugby Supporters Club is delighted to announce that tickets for the GUINNESS Series 2013 will go on sale on ticketmaster.ie at 10am on Thursday, May 30.
The committees from both clubs worked with local businesses to raise over €8,000.
220 ladies from both clubs turned up in comfortable surroundings of the new look Temple Hill and enjoyed an evening of good food, good conversation, with good friends and good fun had by all.
Tony O'Connor, Communication Group in Cork Constitution, commented "It has become part of both clubs' policy on community engagement and the realisation that, in the professional era, the club game needs to play a part in the wider community and this is an initiative of how clubs can participate, collaborate and cooperate for the greater good."
This is becoming an annual event and it is great to see the interest and participation from both clubs by putting rivalry to the side for a great cause.
Enable Ireland, this year's chosen charity, provides free services to children and adults with disabilities and their families from 40 locations in 14 counties. Covering childhood to adulthood, their expert teams work with the individual and their family on a plan for each life stage.
It was an extremely enjoyable evening for all who attended Temple Hill. The weather was kind, a nice crisp early winter's evening, but still an opportunity for the events committee to get the barbeque fired up to provide the best of fare for the huge crowd.
Finian O'Driscoll, President of Cork Constitution, said: "Friday Night Lights in the Ulster Bank League are a great initiative as it is a family-orientated event and brings big numbers in the gates, something to be encouraged and developed further.
"In Con we think it's a fantastic idea as it allows families enjoy the Ulster Bank League in a different setting, allows clubs to organise events, like our fundraising tea and to generate a greater interest and buzz around the league and we are delighted the IRFU have really pushed Friday Night Lights."
The return fixture is ar Musgrave Park on Good Friday and promises to be another great family outing for both clubs.
