There are six uncapped players in the Ireland squad for the summer tour to North America that was named this morning. An Emerging Ireland squad has also been selected for the Tblisi Cup in Georgia.

IRFU Chief Executive Philip Browne has issued a statement following confirmation of Ronan O'Gara's decision to retire from playing professional rugby.

Ronan O'Gara's retirement from professional rugby brings to an end an achievement-packed career that saw him dominate matches in Ireland and around the world in the colours of Cork Constitution, Munster, Ireland and the British & Irish Lions.

The conference looked at the preparation and experiences of some of senior coaches at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, with the highlight being two sessions from Sir Graham Henry.

The groups then used some of their learning to analyse the Heineken Cup final between Leinster and Ulster.

The sessions were lively and well organised and managed by the five tutors, Steve Aboud, Francesco Ascione, Philippe Boher, Kevin Bowring and Allan Lewis. The sessions were very good and groups worked extremely well
together.

This year the senior women's coaches from each of the Six Nations were invited to attend.

This year's Irish participants who accompanied IRFU Technical Diretcor Steve Aboud were Anthony Foley (Munster), Mike Prendergast (Young Munster), Conor Twomey (Ireland Club XV), Philip Doyle (Ireland Women's XV), Peter Malone (Bruff) and Tony Smeeth (Dublin University).
