Devin Toner played in all seven of these games and commentators and head coach Joe Schmidt have increasingly noted his excellent work-rate, ball retention, carrying and general contribution across the pitch.
This was epitomised when the big second row touched down in the 15th minute of the game against Connacht for his first try in Leinster colours.
He is, of course, particularly noted for his prowess at the lineout. With his formidable height he can both secure Leinster's own ball, while making life difficult for the opposition on their throw.
The many followers who nominated Toner were most impressed with his performances against Connacht and Edinburgh where he really put his body on the line alongside his team-mates.
Commenting on the award, the 25-year-old said: "I would like to thank Bank of Ireland for their sponsorship of this award, but most of all to the Leinster supporters who voted for me, I am hugely honoured by their backing.
"We have now just begun a massive period in the season and it is vital that we approach the Glasgow game in a positive frame of mind.
"They beat us narrowly earlier this season in the league so we know how difficult they are as opponents. This weekend, we would like to turn that result around."
Winning the monthly award puts Toner in contention for Leinster's Bank of Ireland Player of the Year award which is announced at the annual Leinster Awards Ball.
Leinster fans can now vote for the November Bank of Ireland Leinster Rugby Player of the Month.
To vote simply email: email@example.com, and tell us which player you think should receive the next player award. Everyone who nominates a player is in with a chance to win a €100 gift voucher.
