Would you like to play rugby for Ireland?
IRFU Irish ExilesDid you know that a future in Irish Rugby could be yours? If you are based in England, Scotland or Wales, and are a qualified or dual-qualified player, why not follow in the footsteps of British & Irish Lions Simon Easterby and Rob Henderson? Contact the Exiles Branch of the IRFU to find out how!

Our credo is best illustrated by the 2003 article in The Independent, which viewed that the IRFU was “the envy of the other home nations” for the structure that had been put in place and the fact that players’ lifestyles were seen as an important by-product of this structure.

The Exiles Branch

The purpose of the Exiles Branch is to identify and develop potential Irish professional players in England, Scotland and Wales.

To achieve this purpose the Branch has an organisation, drawn from former Irish Internationals, British & Irish Lions, and others, who carry out coaching, administrative and medical roles on a voluntary basis. This volunteer body is supported by a professional development manager. Opportunities exist for people to support the volunteer body in a variety of roles.
