Kevin Potts has been announced as the new IRFU Director of Corporate Affairs
The role of Director of Corporate Affairs has overall responsibility for all operations and corporate services for the IRFU including all match arrangements, stadium liaison management, all Ireland representative team and visiting team logistics and general operations for the organisation.

Kevin Potts is a former Ireland 'A' international and represented Leinster at senior level in addition to being capped for both Ireland and Leinster at schools level.

In his professional career, he has held several senior management positions within the Financial Services industry in Ireland and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.

Potts joined the IRFU in May 2005 when he was appointed as the first Domestic Game Manager with the responsibility for the planning, development and organisation of the game within clubs and schools throughout Ireland.

To allow continuity within the domestic game, Potts will combine both roles until a suitable candidate can be found and applications are being sought from today for the new Domestic Game Manager. All details for the position are available on the Irish Rugby Football Union website - click here.

Commenting on the appointment, IRFU Chief Executive Philip Browne said: "Kevin has made significant progress over the last number of years on the domestic game front and his experience in that role as well as his proven management abilities in his career will be a benefit to his new position as Director of Corporate Affairs.

"In line with the ongoing development of the IRFU and the game in Ireland, the operations of the Union have grown significantly over the last number of years.

"In addition to the staging of games in Croke Park, other growth areas of responsibility in this section have included the integration of the Irish women's team, the support of the AIB Club internationals and in the future, the move back to the new stadium.

"Kevin's appointment will give us continuity in this area, while also giving a smooth transition with our new Domestic Game Manager," Browne added.
