The IRFU Charitable Trust runs a number of fund raising events throughout the year inlcuding the annual dinner.

The Trust also organises major fundraising events around the notable dates in the rugby calendar.

Walking With Lions

In addition to the always popular annual dinner 2009 also saw the now famous Charitable Trust walk take place in South Africa during the British & Irish Lions Tour.

The intrepid walkers trekked arround South Africa and managed to take in a number of the test matches as well as meeting several two legged Lions including Ian McGeechan along the way.

One of the walkers kept a diary of the trip.
