IRFU Fitness Workshop In Buccaneers RFC

The IRFU fitness department will be running an open workshop on Monday, October 19 in Buccaneers Rugby Club. The workshop is offering coaches at school and club level the opportunity to increase their knowledge in the area of integrated conditioning and conditioned games.

This is one of many workshops/conferences/courses that will be run over the 2009/10 season.

The workshop will be presented by Des Ryan (Fitness Education Manager IRFU) and Phillip Morrow (High Performance Fitness Coach IRFU).
 
Date - Monday, October 19

Time - 7pm to 9pm

Cost - 30 euro
 
Content -
7.00pm - Theory of Integrated Conditioning & Conditioned games
7.30pm - Practical (Example sessions with Athlone IT Rugby squad)
 
The workshop will contain an introduction to the theory of integrated conditioning and will also introduce some of the methods used in integrated conditioning.

Once this is completed the practical will give examples of the methods and how to apply them to a session. This will include -
 
Multi Sprint endurance
Conditioned Games
Rugby Specific Drills
Movement Skill Drills
Speed Endurance
