Ireland 'A' international Johne Murphy has agreed to join Munster at the end of the current season, having penned a two-year contract with the province
Johne Murphy initially joined Leicester Tigers on loan in the 2005/06 season. He made his debut for them in September 2006 against Harlequins at the Stoop and after 19 appearances he ended the season with a call-up to the Ireland 'A' Churchill Cup squad.

The 25-year-old Kildare man has made 93 appearances to date for Leicester, scoring 27 tries and was their leading try scorer last season.

Speaking about Munster's latest signing, head coach Tony McGahan said: "Munster are delighted to sign a young ambitious Irish outside back such as Johne.

"After being part of a very successful period with Leicester, we look forward to Johne's participation on and off the field with Munster.

"His strong ball carrying, strong individual defence and finishing ability from either wing or full-back are some of the attributes we are looking forward to Johne bringing to the back-line division."
