Hooker Niall Annett scooped the ESB International man-of-the-match award for his try-scoring display in the Ireland Under-20s' defeat of Wales in Athlone on Friday. He hailed the Irish squad's work ethic and never-say-die attitude, while agreeing that his try after 19 seconds was 'the quickest' he has ever scored.

The Ireland Under-20s are having a great run, sitting at the top of the RBS U-20 6 Nations table ahead of next weekend's final round. Commenting on Friday's 24-17 win over Wales, debutant winger Tiernan O'Halloran said: "It was a great start and we held out well in the end. We have to keep focus for the last game against Scotland and keep up the good work in training this week."

The Ireland squad will have a light training session in Dublin tomorrow as they get over the bumps and bruises from the win over Wales and start the preparations for their final RBS 6 Nations game against Scotland next Saturday.
