Recalled into the Ireland squad for the 2005/06 autumn internationals, MICK O'DRISCOLL earned his third cap as a replacement in the victory over Romania.

The statuesque Corkman made his Test debut against Romania in June 2001 - he won his second cap v Fiji (November 2002) also as a replacement.

In 2005/06, O'Driscoll, who re-joined Munster last summer after a two season stint with French club Perpignan, has shown solid form for Munster.

O'Driscoll scored a try in Munster's Heineken Cup pool defeat of Newport-Gwent Dragons before Christmas, and he made the most of an injury to first choice lock Paul O'Connell (hand) to play in 17 games for Munster before the start of the 6 Nations.

He received a vote of confidence when being named as captain of the Ireland 'A' team to play France 'A' in February, was also capped against Wales in the 6 Nations and came off the bench against the All Blacks in June, that season.

His next caps came against Argentina on the 2007 summer tour prior to the Rugby World Cup having featured in the RBS 6 Nations against England and Italy.
